The Brief
The Solution
There were two important factors in the design of this new workspace for SmartBear: sustainability and community.
With an emphasis on collaboration, our design team expertly adapted the concept of the client’s US office to fit the UK team requirements, ensuring the core SmartBear values were considered throughout.
A number of different spaces have been introduced to support modern hybrid working styles, from break out spaces to formal boardrooms, individual telephone booths and touch down areas to support small group discussions.
A large town hall space is also now available to the team, known as the ‘Bear Cave’, where the whole team can comfortably get together for events, presentations, and group work.
As soon as you enter the large social teapoint area, you cannot miss the beautiful mural created by a local artist highlighting the very best of Bath whilst incorporating the spirit of the SmartBear brand.
Following a recent recruitment drive, this social break out space was important to SmartBear in strengthening a community within the company. The large table and kitchen island encourages teams to come together to relax, unwind and reset. And the games area proves a perfect getaway for teams to enjoy away from their desks.
Overall, a wonderful fit out by our team, who thoroughly enjoyed partnering with the client for their open day, together with the Mayor of Bath. We’re proud that this workspace will become the template for SmartBear’s locations worldwide.
