The Practice at The General, Bristol
We were approached by Tristan and Mike Scott who were looking for a fit-out contractor to help them realise their vision to open a private dental practice on the site of the previous General Hospital in Bristol; The Practice at The General.
Working closely with both the client and Gavin Willis of Paradigm Design we helped to develop the concept design through to construction. Adapting what was essentially a water-tight shell with very few incoming services, we turned the design into a workable solution using our breadth of construction knowledge within new-build spaces.
With only 247m2 of usable space, effective use of every millimetre was absolutely essential, particularly as it comprised a reception area and visitor space as well as staff and visitor toilet facilities, X-ray and photography rooms, consulting and dispensing rooms, a boardroom and staff room.
In order to create the right ambience, almost every aspect of the project included a bespoke element, with unique products designed to perfectly match the sensibilities of the practice.
