WELCOME TO beatus cartons

Beatus Cartons design, print and manufacture packaging and folding cartons. As part of their 75th anniversary celebrations, they wanted to mark the occasion by creating an Innovation Centre. A space within the old factory building was identified for the project and we were asked to create a solution that converted this area into something unique to their sector, which made a lasting impression to anyone visiting the business.

Originally, designers and other members of staff were scattered around the site. When clients were brought in to experiment with designs and explore different concepts, there was nowhere specific for them to meet and discuss their requirements. The new space needed to be dynamic, innovative and inspiring. A far cry from the generic factory floor that was about to be transformed.

COmmercial suite

The Commercial Suite on the mezzanine floor overlooks the Innovation Centre and serves as a boardroom and more formal meeting room. Bespoke units were created to house the media display units, TV and fridge. Below this the Printing Room was separated from the Innovation Centre by a patterned glass wall and contained the business’ brand new, state-of-the-art printers that are able to produce high-quality proofs of their packaging and cartons. By combining each of these elements and bringing together their staff, Beatus had a space that could demonstrate their pioneering approach to design in one inspiring location.
