Meet the Speakers at Design Assembly South Wales 2018
As you may have spotted on our social media accounts, after the success of last year’s event, we recently announced the return of Design Assembly to South Wales.
So far, we’ve only teased the title and the date…
The Connected Workplace: How to bring people and technology together
Friday, October 19th
Tickets have already been flying from the Eventbrite page thick and fast, so we thought we’d share a bit more information about what you can expect on the day.
What is a Design Assembly event?
The Design Assembly events are important dates for architects, facilities managers, HR managers, interior designers - in fact, any professional involved in either the specification of commercial interiors or the wellbeing of personnel within a workplace.
They not only offer RIBA-certified CPD presentations from renowned professionals but also give you the chance to engage with experts in the world of workplace design and commercial interiors.
Last year's event proved to be very popular, with some fantastic guest speakers, including Oliver Heath, and some interactive fun with our experts...
Why ‘The Connected Workplace’?
This year’s theme covers the topic of workplace wellbeing, with guest speakers and industry experts highlighting the different ways that technology and office design can be used to improve employee wellbeing.
This year, we’re proud to be hosting three outstanding speakers:
Neil Solanki, Specification Manager, Dyson Professional
Personalised Workspace: Taking Light to Task
With over 7 years’ experience in product and specification management, Neil looks at how Dyson has developed a range of technology engineered to enhance office spaces and create comfortable, hygienic working environments.
Jeremy Palmer, Connected Services Sales Director, Honeywell
Delivering Value from a Connected Workplace
Currently leading the Honeywell business transformation and with a passion for connected/smart buildings, Jeremy has significant experience driving innovative solutions in new markets for multi-national companies.
Flavie Lowres, Associate Director and Coordinator of the BRE Wellbeing Project
The BRE Biophilic Office Refurbishment - one year on
Flavie is leading a research project centred around the refurbishment of an office at BRE where innovative technologies and biophilic design will be applied to understand their impact on the health, wellbeing and productivity of occupants.
As well as our speakers, visitors will also get the chance to meet some industry experts. We’ll be sharing more information about them very soon.
And did we mention that breakfast and lunch are included?
Plus, we’ll be giving attendees the chance to win 2 tickets to the Six Nations Wales v England rugby in February 2019!
Given the fact that this is a free event, it’s hardly surprising that tickets are going fast.
