We’re delighted to have successfully secured the Development Bank of Wales’ new workplace designfit out and furniture contract.

We originally tendered and won the workplace analysis, concept and detailed design in 2019, but after COVID-19 hit workplaces, the design process took a period of eight months. Then, after a competitive tendering process, Paramount subsequently bid and was successful for the fit out works and furniture supply for the Development Bank of Wales.

In a bid to reduce its office footprint and implement an agile working model across the two floors at 1 Capital Quarter, a combination of different styles of working have been proposed, including hot desking, individual booths, shared booths, telephone boxes, platform seating for team meetings, enclosed spaces for more formal meetings and enclosed spaces for one-to-one working.

The aesthetic at the Development Bank of Wales is driven by a desire to move away from the inflexibility of an individually allocated desk arrangement, whilst still maintaining a professional but more task based and relaxed feel for both visitors and staff.

I am delighted that we have been awarded the contract for the works at the Development Bank of Wales, having worked closely with the client on the workplace analysis.

It is encouraging to work with a company who have a similar culture to Paramount, where they clearly value their staff and want to create an environment that provides a diverse working environment that supports the varying requirements across their business. What made it even more enjoyable was that the client team shared the same desire of wanting to create a strong aesthetic, whilst also delivering value for money.

Overall, this latest contract win is testament to the expertise and dedication of our exceptional team.

With this remodelling of our space, we will be reducing our office footprint in Cardiff to make better use of the space and delivering on our ambition to create an inspiring and flexible workspace that can support collaboration and productivity. In the competitive bid process, Paramount demonstrated their ability to deliver against the brief and value for money requirements of the Development Bank of Wales.

We would like to thank the team at Paramount for their hard work bidding on and now delivering this fantastic project and we all look forward to using the new and improved workspace as it is intended.
