Hello Nathan. What do you do at Paramount?
I’m a Senior Designer, which means I deliver all stages of the design process from the initial brief through to project completion, creating inspirational but functional environments.
What did you do before you joined Paramount?
Most notably, my experience to date has been as a designer working on a variety of interior and architectural projects within the commercial sector.
I’ve worked mainly within the Retail, F&B and the Educational sectors, creating interiors for new and established brands, both locally and internationally.
Directly before joining Paramount, I had set up my own company exploring the residential sector and taking on home remodelling projects of various sizes.
What’s been the highlight of your career to date?
The buzz of winning my very first project tender at the start of my career was a real highlight. It gave me the confidence to create a pathway in the industry.
But, being given the opportunity to influence the workplace sector for a company like Paramount is another big highlight for me.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Away from work, you’ll find me either playing sports in particular football or leading my local cricket team. And when I can I like to follow Bath rugby.
When I’m not chasing either footballs or cricket balls around, I enjoy exploring places here in the South West. Whether it’s getting my hiking shoes on and walking across the Mendips or finding new bars and activities the cities have to offer.
And usually after all that fresh air I find a nice, relaxing horror movie is a great way to end the day!
At Paramount, we’re all about creating places where people want to be. Where’s your favourite place to be?
My favourite place to be is out on the cricket pitch where I love to be competitive with my teammates, followed by the clubhouse afterwards where I can enjoy the social side with family and friends.
