One event – Three CPD presentations: Design Assembly South Wales
Friday, November 10th is going to be an important date for architects, facilities managers, interior designers… in fact, any professional involved in the specification of commercial interiors.
On this date, we’re very proud to be partnering with Edge Design to bring the professional development and networking event, Design Assembly, to our ShowOffice in Cardiff.
What’s a Design Assembly?
The Design Assembly events have become important dates in the world of commercial interiors and office design.
They offer a whole morning of RIBA-certified CPD presentations from renowned professionals with the opportunity to meet industry experts in the world of working and interior design.
It’s completely up to you which presentations you go to, pick and choose the ones that are most relevant.
Meet the Speakers
Throughout the morning, celebrated speakers will be presenting their thoughts on the latest industry trends.
Dan Rossiter, BRE: Understanding BIM Level 2
Dan is the principal author of BRE’s BIM education material, ISO convenor of BIM terminology, BSI BIM standards committee member and author of www.BIMblog.house
He’ll be talking about the digitalisation of the building industry and how BIM Level 2 is a game-changer for the industry.
Martin Kessell, Atrium Lighting: Unlocking the Code of Colour
Martin, an Account Manager at Atrium Ltd, has worked in lighting for close to 20 years. He'll be shedding some light (pun intended) on the important relationship between lighting and colour in the workplace.
Oliver Heath, Oliver Heath Design: Biophilic Design - Designing with Human Nature in Mind
An author, television presenter and qualified Domestic Energy and Green Deal assessor, Oliver is seen as a trusted voice of authority in the field of sustainable, architectural and interior design.
With a wealth of experience on the topic, he’ll explore the benefits of biophilic design.

Martin Keogh, Ecophon - A sound effect on people
Ecophon develops, manufactures and markets acoustic products and systems that contribute to a good working environment.
With five years' experience in room acoustic comfort, Martin will be demonstrating how people should be at the centre of how we design buildings and asking the question, how do you want your building to sound?
Sarah Prakel, Tektura: Wallcoverings - There’s more than meets the eye
Whether you're interested in healthcare, office or hotel interiors, there's a wallcovering that's designed for the job.
Tektura can offer insights into product development, technical benefits, design and function - everything needed to specify a product fit for purpose, including window graphics, bespoke printing and dry erase surfaces.
Emma Raybould, Panaz: When is fabric more than fabric?
An experienced sales professional in contract interiors, Emma specialises in the healthcare, hospitality and workspace sectors.
Panaz will explore how inspiring and stimulating fabrics can transform a workspace environment.
Paramount Interiors & Edge Design: Modern working environments: Where next?
The team at Paramount, with the assistance of the design technology specialists at Cadspec, will be giving people the chance to experience some of our recent projects through a VR headset!
